The theme of this competition is inspired by Dr. Muhammad Amjad Saqib’s book Moloo Musalli, which looks at people and lives that often remain unseen and asks the larger questions, about dignity, inequality, compassion, resilience, and our shared humanity.
This competition invites you to look closely at the world around you and bring one overlooked story to the screen. Your film must be inspired by real people, real-life stories of those like Moloo Musalli, or adapted from Moloo Musalli itself.
That story could belong to a shoemaker, a farmer, a brick kiln worker, a prisoner, a transgender person, or simply someone we pass every day without ever knowing their name.
Moloo Musalli is the inspiration. What you choose to see, and how you choose to tell it, is yours.
